Play the Mini Militia Classic Game in Your Browser
This Mini Militia Classic game page lets you play a free, fan-made remake of Mini Militia's Survival mode. It runs right in your web browser on a PC, laptop, phone or tablet, with no install, no plugin and no account.
Your goal is simple: fly your jetpack soldier, destroy the enemy soldiers that keep dropping in, and push your score as high as you can before your 3 lives run out.
Quick note: this is an open-source remake built for fun. It is not the official game and is not affiliated with Miniclip or Appsomniacs.
How to Play on PC, Phone and Tablet
Press the big yellow PLAY NOW button in the game frame. A short splash screen with intro music shows while the game loads, then your Survival round starts. Find your device below.
On PC or Laptop
The game plays inside the frame on this page. Use the keyboard to move and the mouse to aim and shoot.
- W (hold) - fly up with the jetpack
- A - move left
- D - move right
- S - move down and descend
- Arrow keys - work too, instead of W, A, S and D
- Mouse - aim; your soldier turns to face the side your cursor is on
- Left click - shoot (one shot per click)
- Fullscreen button (below the game frame) - fill your whole screen
- Esc - leave full screen
On Phone or Tablet
Tap PLAY NOW and the game opens in a full-screen game mode. Hold your phone sideways: the game always fills the screen in landscape, even if your phone's rotation lock is on. If you start with the phone upright, a short hint reminds you to turn it.
The screen is split into two halves, and each half has its own joystick. Two faint joystick circles, labeled MOVE / FLY (left) and AIM / FIRE (right), rest near the bottom corners, and each joystick jumps to wherever your thumb touches on its half.
- Left half, drag left or right - run
- Left half, drag up - fly with the jetpack
- Left half, drag down - descend
- Right half, drag in any direction - aim that way (a short drag only aims; push further out to fire)
- Auto fire - while the right stick stays pushed out, your gun fires on its own, about 3 shots per second
- Lift a thumb - that action stops
- X button (top-right corner) - close the game and return to this page
Use both thumbs at the same time. Your left thumb keeps you moving while your right thumb aims and shoots.
Reading the Screen: Health, Fuel, Lives and Score
Everything you need to stay alive is shown around the edges of the screen.
- Health bar (purple bar with a heart icon, top-left) - each enemy bullet takes 1/12 of your health, so 12 hits from full health ends a life. Health does not come back during a life.
- Jetpack fuel (blue bar, top-left) - drains while you fly and refills on its own when you stop. If it runs completely empty, the jetpack cuts out until a little fuel comes back.
- Lives (soldier head with x3, top-right) - you start every game with 3 lives.
- Red arrows around your soldier - point toward far-away enemies, so you can face them before they get close.
When you lose a life, the game pauses and shows your score, your kills and a 6-second RESPAWNING countdown. Then you come back with full health.
Lose your last life and the GAME OVER screen shows your final score and kills. Click or tap Retry to start a fresh game.
What's in This Version: Survival Mode Features
This browser game focuses on one thing: single-player Survival. Here is what you get.
- Nonstop enemies - a new jetpack soldier in a robot-style helmet drops in from above every 3 seconds, until 6 are alive at once.
- Enemies that keep their distance - they fly toward you but hang back, then fire red bullets at you every few seconds when you are in range.
- Tough targets - each enemy has a green health bar over its head and takes 2 to 5 hits to destroy.
- Scoring - every enemy you destroy is worth +100 points and adds to your kills.
- A side-scrolling map about three screens wide, with sand and grass, raised ledges, big stones and trees. The camera follows your soldier.
- One weapon - a pistol-style gun that fires yellow bullets in a straight line. Shots stop when they hit the terrain.
- Sound - intro music and gunshot effects.
To keep expectations clear: there is no multiplayer, and there are no weapon pickups, grenades, melee attacks, zoom, dual wield, power-ups or health packs. The game also does not save progress or keep a leaderboard, so every run starts fresh. Want to know what the official apps include? See our Mini Militia guns list and our guide to every game mode.
Tips to Survive Longer and Score Higher
Survival is all about staying alive while the enemies keep coming.
- Keep moving. Enemies fire every few seconds, and a moving target is harder to hit.
- Use the terrain as cover. Bullets stop when they hit the ground, so raised ledges and the big stones can block incoming fire. Pop up, shoot, then drop back down.
- Never run the jetpack dry. Fly in short bursts and ease off between them to let the blue bar refill. An empty tank means you cannot fly until it recovers.
- Fight one enemy at a time. Each enemy takes 2 to 5 hits, so finish the one you are shooting before you switch targets.
- Clear enemies fast. A new enemy arrives every 3 seconds until 6 are alive, so quick kills keep the crowd small.
- Follow the red arrows. They point toward far-away enemies, so you can face them before they get close.
- Play safe on low health. Health does not regenerate, so when the purple bar gets short, back off and pick your shots.
Tips for PC Players
- Each left click fires one shot and there is no ammo limit or reload, so click as fast as you can while keeping your aim on target.
- Aim a little ahead of a moving enemy, and keep your cursor on it while you move with A and D.
Tips for Phone and Tablet Players
- Hold your right thumb pushed well out toward an enemy for steady auto fire, about 3 shots per second.
- Make small drags with your left thumb to dodge while you keep shooting.
- Rest your thumbs near the middle of each half so you can drag in any direction fast.

Mini Militia for PC Without an Emulator
There is no official Windows or Mac version of Mini Militia. The original game was made for iOS and Android, so most guides for Mini Militia for PC tell you to install an Android emulator such as BlueStacks or LDPlayer and run the mobile app inside it.
This page gives you a lighter path. Open it in a modern browser such as Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari on Windows, macOS, Linux or ChromeOS, click PLAY NOW, and play with keyboard and mouse. No emulator and no setup, just free online play.
For the best Mini Militia PC experience, hit the Fullscreen button so the map fills your monitor. Keep your left hand on W, A, S and D and your right hand on the mouse.
Playing Mini Militia Online in Your Browser
Want to play Mini Militia online without installing an app first? This page does exactly that. The game runs in your web browser on desktops, laptops, Android phones, iPhones and iPads.
Keep in mind that when you play Mini Militia online here, "online" simply means "in your browser." It does not mean online multiplayer. This version is single-player only: you fight computer-controlled enemy soldiers, not other people.
If you want to battle friends, the official mobile apps are the place for that. Our guide on how to play Mini Militia with friends explains online, local Wi-Fi and hotspot play step by step.
About the Original Mini Militia Game
The original Mini Militia game began on mobile as Doodle Army 2: Mini Militia, the sequel to the stickman shooter Doodle Army. Appsomniacs LLC developed it and Miniclip published it. It came out on iOS first and later on Android.
It is a 2D, cartoon-style side-scrolling shooter. According to its official Appsomniacs page, it offers online and local Wi-Fi multiplayer, plus Training, Survival and Team Battle modes. Its feature list also includes dual-stick controls, rocket boots for flying (often called a jetpack), dual wield, melee attacks, grenades, power-ups and many weapons, from the Uzi and AK47 to a sniper rifle and a rocket launcher.
Today there are two mobile versions. Appsomniacs later relaunched the game as Mini Militia Classic, a "spiritual rebirth" of the original that brings back features such as local Wi-Fi play. Miniclip continues its own version, listed as Mini Militia - Doodle Army 2 on the App Store and Mini Militia - War.io on Google Play. Both run on Android and iOS, and there is still no official PC release. For a side-by-side comparison, read Mini Militia Classic vs War.io.
About This Fan-Made Remake
The game on this page is an open-source browser remake of the Survival mode. GitHub user ashimregme wrote it in plain JavaScript and HTML5 canvas in 2017 and shared it under the GPL-3.0 license. This site adds the on-screen touch controls and the full-screen game mode so it plays well on phones and tablets.
Because it recreates only the classic Mini Militia Survival mode, the game stays small and simple: one map, one weapon and nonstop enemies, ready to play in seconds.
